Friends of Adult Day Health Care

Planned Giving

Friends relies on the support of many!

Since 1984, Yolo Adult Day Health Center staff has prided themselves on promoting independence and self-esteem within the frail elderly population by offering choices for meeting long term care needs.  The medical, social and support services provided by trained professionals at the Center have permitted hundreds, who might otherwise be in a nursing facility, to remain in their own homes. In addition, the Center has developed community education programs that include caregiver support groups, informational workshops, placement assistance  and care coordination.

Friends rely on the generosity of the community to support the Center’s many efforts  which would otherwise go unfunded.  Recent accomplishments include:

· Spearheaded fundraising for major building expansion to increase program capacity.

· Provide scholarships to low income families for Center attendance.

· Purchased major items such as vehicles for program participants, therapy room equipment and outdoor landscaping.

Many people think that the joy of philanthropy is a privilege of the wealthy but not anymore. Today people of all ages and backgrounds are discovering that they too can arrange a legacy.  Most Americans do give to charities each year. But few think to do so at death. You can!  Your gifts, whether $100 or $1,000 or many times that, when placed side by side with hundreds and thousands of others will make a significant difference to Yolo Adult Day Health Center.
