Yolo Adult Day Health Center a.k.a. “The Center” provides services to support frail adults.

Services Provided at Yolo Adult Day Health Center

Social work staff assist individuals and families with planning, problem-solving, accessing community resources and support to caregivers.

Social Work

Clients are offered therapeutic activities including daily exercise groups, discussion sessions,  music programs, creative art groups, gardening and many special community projects. All activities are designed to maintain or improve cognitive, social and physical skills.

Physical, occupation and speech therapy programs are available to assist with maintaining, regaining and even improving a participant’s abilities.

Transportation

Transportation for clients to and from the center, including those in wheelchairs, may be arranged through the Center

The CASA Program, a program within a program, specifically targets the needs of individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or other kinds of dementia. 

It also provides needed respite to caregivers. In addition to respite, CASA offers special assistance for caregivers in coping with their caregiving responsibilities.

Nursing Care and Supervision assist with medications, monitoring blood pressure/blood sugar/general health, education, personal care (including showering), grooming, nursing treatments ordered by the doctor and assistance in accessing other health care services.
